Give-way fail again to blame for McCallum crash

THE intersection between Splatt and McCallum streets in Swan Hill was the scene of another car collision on Friday, just three days after a similar prang occurred on the adjacent McCallum/High Street intersection.

Swan Hill Highway Patrol said a vehicle travelling north on Splatt Street just before 12.40pm failed to give way while entering into the intersection.

The vehicle failed to see the other car travelling east down McCallum Street toward the CBD and hit it.

An ambulance was called to the scene, but no injuries were sustained.

The driver of the offending vehicle was issued a penalty notice for failing to give way.
