A PLAYER was taken to hospital after a serious knock left him convulsing on the ground during Saturday’s Golden Rivers reserves preliminary final between Murrabit and Nullawil.
Match officials decided to not move the player until further assistance arrived more than 30 minutes after the injury occurred.
The actions of both Murrabit and Nullawil were commended by the league as the game was declared a draw.
But being a final, the clash needed to go into extra time, with both clubs agreeing to play two 20 minute halves.
A Nullawil player was yellow carded for the incident.
