For eight student pilots, the Swan Hill airspace is the unknown limit this week.
While some flew solo for the first time from Ballarat to Swan Hill — an hour-and-a-half flight — for others there was still much to learn both on the ground and behind the controls.
The students from ST Aerospace Academy are using the Swan Hill aerodrome for the first time in a week-long trial alongside three instructors.
The crew arrived yesterday afternoon, with most arriving on board three Cessna 172 fixed-wing aircraft.
