PRO golfer Jarrod Lyle was on course on Wednesday for the Murray Downs Golf and Country Club’s Pro Am tournament, a return to the country for the PGA tour player.
Playing nine-holes on Tuesday, Lyle geared up and was ready to go for the main event on Wednesday, before leaving for Cohuna on Thursday.
Speaking to The Guardian, Lyle said he loved the conditions of the course.
“The course is in great knick, it is so nice for me to come back to these country courses and support country golf,” he said.
“I grew up in Shepparton, it is close to home, and all these events need help they can get so it is really nice to come out.
“I remember playing here when I was 13 with my cousin and living up around here and playing golf… it is nice to come back for these events and see the same faces year in, year out and have a bit of chit chat.
The talented golfer was only able to spend time in Swan Hill while on course and is expecting to have a big summer ahead.
