SWAN Hill Clay Target Club is opening it’s door to the public with an invite to all women who are interested in trying the sport.
After the success of Olympic shooter Catherine Skinner, the club is keen to promote the sport to women of all ages and will hold a Ladies Day event on October 30.
Club treasurer Rebecca Orlando said the day was designed for people who have never shot clay or even shot a gun before.
“Those keen on trying do not need a license to participate and its the great bucket list moment people may have been waiting for,” she said.
“Cost is $30 per person which includes your shooting and a host of great door prizes that have been donated by local business’s.”
Ms Orlando is new to the sport herself having only just joined two years ago, but says the sport is a great stress release.
“I love going out Thursday nights to the coaching sessions and shooting clay,” she said.
