WHILE the beauty of Swan Hill in spring has never been doubted, recent rainfall followed by the past few days of sunshine have created a photographer’s paradise.
Whether it’s the brimming banks of the Murray, the blossoming of golden wattle, or the endless sea of green as crops burst through the Mallee soil into full life, there is something to capture the eye of even the most amateur of photographers.
But despite some of these easy to recognise symbols of beauty, there is more if you take the time to look.
Scattered along the roadsides particularly on the outskirts of town are the Gazanias, often referred to as weeds.
These hardy flowers typify the arrival of spring and a creative photographer can have a field day with the burgeoning colour and vibrance.
The wetlands down at Federal Square are also putting on a show with an array of bird life on display and the fauna creating an image to rival any in the world.
For water lovers, many houseboat and recreational boaters are taking advantage of the conditions making for a unique snapshot.
Lake Boga is showing off its unique sunsets over a pane of blue glass waters while the surrounding forests at Vinifera and Nyah are abound with native wildlife.
With subjects so unique and beautiful it is almost impossible to take a bad photograph.
