Bikers in bovine ‘onesies’ will be hitting the region’s roads this weekend for a “milk run” to support struggling dairy farmers.
The Black Dog Ride event will cover more than 2000km around Victoria’s dairy regions to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
Organiser Ric Raftis, of Wedderburn (south of Swan Hill) said the charity group wanted to throw its support behind dairy farmers, which has been reeling since processors Murray Goulburn and Fonterra slashed their farmgate milk prices earlier this year.
