SWAN Hill North Primary School will make front page news when their school fete starts at 4pm today.

All students from across the school have been busy planning their stalls and attractions and teacher Xana Bittar said they have done a wonderful job.

“The children have planned everything and really thought about all aspects of holding a fete,” she said.

“They have had to think about every detail of what was needed from the equipment and the tent down to managing the money.”

There will be a host of activities for fete visitors to enjoy including showbags, spinning wheel, jumping castle and zorb balls.

Ms Bittar’s students from Grade 5/6 are bringing something new to the fete this year.

Those who have always wanted a place in the limelight can have their image placed on the front page of The Guardian newspaper.

Students have also made many of the items that will be sold at stalls and donations from families and community will make up a the good and services auction. Included in the large array of items to buy are home-made cakes, plants, a variety of food and drinks as well as trash and treasure stalls.

For those students keen to take some revenge, teachers will be the target on the dunk tank and for a small fee patrons will have the chance to get their teachers soaked.
