FOUR bouts into his career and Thomas Mitchell is a champion.
The Swan Hill teacher has been extremely dedicated to his cause when losing weight and training for bouts, and all the sacrafices he has made paid off at the weekend when he won the Victorian Novice title.
After dropping weight and having to overcome some tough competitors, he did it all again on Sunday, beating his opponent down in three rounds.
The first round was strong from Mitchell, taking the points and going in strong on his opponent.
