To celebrate Children’s Week, the Swan Hill Regional Library again held their Roving Storytime event.
Children stopped off at different locations and businesses in town with nursery rhymes sung along the way.
Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Cultural Development and Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said it was fantastic to see the community get involved in Roving Storytime.
“We had 80 people join along; 30 adults and 50 children.
“They had some fantastic activities to do along the way,” she said.
The event started at Swan Hill Regional Library where children were treated to a story about healthy eating, read by Swan Hill District Health Promotion Officers Chanel Relf and Elise Kelly, who were dressed as a pea pod and tomato.
In front of the pet shop, the children were able to feed a lamb and pet a golden retriever named Harry. Then it was off to the medical centre where a dolly was nursed back to health by a couple of volunteers.
