Growing leadership skills, nurturing wisdom and building confidence were the big takeaways from Business and Professional Women (BPW) Swan Hill’s ‘Stepping up to leadership’ graduation dinner on Wednesday.
Graduates of the program came from all walks of life – farmers to mothers to business owners – but all had the same goal: to improve their leadership skills not just for themselves but for the community.
BPW Swan Hill’s president Maria Nobel-Hayes was pleased with the women’s dedication, commitment and enthusiasm during the course.
“I am so proud to be standing here with you on your journey,” Ms Nobel-Hayes said.
“I want to encourage you to step up to be your own leader and see where your journey leads you.
“If your actions inspire others to do more, learn more and be more, then you too will grow with every opportunity.
“I congratulate you on stepping up and believe that you have what it takes to become great leaders within our community.”
