The inaugural Swan Hill River Rock Fest is done and dusted after a 1200-strong crowd headed to Riverside Park on Saturday to catch the likes of Pseudo Echo, Thirsty Merc, Chocolate Starfish and The Black Sorrows.
River Rock Fest promoter David Storer said the final River Rock event for the year was awesome.
“It was an event for music lovers. If they loved it this year then they need to come back next year,” he said.
“The whole event was just really, really fantastic.
“For a small town, getting a crowd like we got is an amazing thing. Everyone was on their best behaviour.”
Local band Code Five opened the festival with 25 people joining them onstage for their final song.
Mr Storer said all the acts were fantastic and really well received.
“The highlight for everyone on the night was Chocolate Starfish’s cover of Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell album,” he said.
“Everyone really got into it.”
The festival had support from the Swan Hill community with clubs and organisations helping out on the day.
“Without sponsorship these things just would’t happen,” Mr Storer said.
