THE Central Murray Football Netball League are expected to work with AFL Victoria and local clubs to educate everyone on the risks of concussion.
After an award-winning series conducted by The Guardian in 2016 highlighted the dangers of the injury, conversation continued about how to best tackle the issue.
The CMFNL and Golden Rivers Football League boards are expected to look at the issue in early February, specifically around trainer knowledge and understanding.
Nullawil’s Grant Ford, who was diagnosed with epilepsy after a serious concussion, said something as simple as a policy to report to a doctor could prevent illness.
“I think there should be some rules on this; it is something for them to look at,” he said.
