MALLEE Eagles’ officials are ecstatic following the Gannawarra Shire Council’s commitment to helping resurface their netball courts.
The netball courts in Lalbert began to crack up which led to the club officially closing the courts in fear for the safety of players.
But after a report by The Guardian on Wednesday, Mallee Eagles Football Netball Club president Geoff Kendell confirmed contractors were going back in.
“We have been told they will be there to fix the courts on the week beginning March 6,” he told The Guardian.
“We are happy with that.
” The club is expecting to have the courts reopened before competition starts against Tyntynder on April 1.
