THE picturesque Riverside Park will once again host one of the Mallee’s fastest growing sporting events with the second annual Riverside Tri ready to run.
The Swan Hill Football Netball Club fundraiser has already outgrown its status as a club event with the wider running community jumping on board.
Riverside Tri co-organiser Renee Hirst said the event was now part of the Rural Race Series and was fast becoming a staple for runners in the Mallee.
“We have more than 220 registrations at the moment but it is growing by the minute… we are so excited to have athletes coming from around the State and running locally,” she told The Guardian.
“Not only are we excited for Sunday, the kid’s Mini Tri (on Saturday) is looking really good and we are happy to have lots of entries to that too.
