Local police officers were recognised for their service during an awards ceremony last week.
Western Region Division 6 Superintendent Paul Naylor was on hand to present police officers from the Buloke, Gannawarra and Swan Hill local government areas with service awards at Swan Hill Club last Wednesday.
Five officers received the Victoria Police Service Medal, awarded by the Chief Commissioner in recognition of sustained, diligent and ethical service, while four officers were awarded the National Medal for diligent long service in organisations that protect life and property at some risk to their members.
Detective Michael Corridan, Leading Senior Constable Andrew Downes, Sergeant Brian Gibson and Leading Senior Constable Darin Sheahan were awarded the National Police Service Medal for ethical and diligent service.
