Last Friday marked the World Day of Prayer and Swan Hill residents from all Christian faiths came together to mark the occasion.
Swan Hill’s Grain Shed Church of Christ was the host for this year’s event and held a special service for more than 50 devoted parishioners.
Grain Shed pastor Maren Chandler said the World Day of Prayer was a chance to bring people together.
“It brings people from all walks of life and Christian faiths together,” Pastor Chandler said.
“This is the biggest number we’ve had at a World Day of Prayer service in quite a few years.
“Each year a different country takes its turn to do the preparation; this year is was The Philippines.”
