Moving in to its ninth decade, the Lake Boga Easter Regatta continues to draw crowds of sailors and holiday-makers from across Australia.
People from all corners of the nation are expected to converge on the Lake for the annual regatta, which averages between 100 and 200 competing vessels.
Lake Boga Yacht Club Commodore Ken Robinson says it is truly a national regatta.
“We’ve had people attend from Queensland and Western Australia. It’s a national regatta because people come from right around Australia,” he said.
“Lots of people incorporate the regatta with a holiday. There are lots of groups and families where one person sails and the others tour around the district.”
With “relatively cheap” camping sites available, Mr Robinson encourages anyone who wishes to compete or take in the sights to make their way to the Lake for the long weekend.
