Balranald Shire Council general manager Aaron Drenovski has “mutually agreed” to leave after three years in the role.
Mayor Leigh Byron announced on Monday that Mr Drenovski and council had decided by mutual agreement to end his time in the position.
“We are grateful for the contribution Aaron has made during his time with council,” Cr Byron said.
“I called a special meeting to discuss where we were and where we were going, and Aaron amicably agreed that we should go our separate ways.
“Council will continue to function and provide all services.”
Mr Drenovski’s departure comes at the end of a challenging year for Balranald Shire Council, with Cr Byron setting his sights on the New Year.
“We’ve had ups and downs, that’s for sure,” Cr Byron said.
“I’m looking forward to starting 2018 with a new broom.”
Former Tumut Shire Council and Snowy Valley Council general manager Bob Stewart will act in the position until a new general manager is recruited and appointed.
