A public campaign for a new hospital in Swan Hill will be launched next Wednesday.
Locals have been urged to bring their voices to the launch at the front entrance to Swan Hill District Health, on Splatt Street, at 12 noon.
Swan Hill Needs a New Hospital Campaign Committee chairman Les McPhee has also encouraged people to bring signs, posters and placards.
“A committee of concerned and influential citizens of Swan Hill has formed to advocate for funding for the establishment of a new hospital for Swan Hill,” Mr McPhee said.
“This committee is about to embark on an intensive campaign to extract commitments from all political parties to fund a new hospital for Swan Hill.
“For this campaign to be successful it will be imperative that a ground swell of community support be generated and expressed over the coming months.
“This will help in attracting both media attention and the attention of our state politicians to the need for this city to get a new hospital.”
