Number plates stolen

REGISTRATION plates were stolen from a vehicle in Nyah last month, police say.

The plates were said to have been removed from the vehicle, parked off the Murray Valley Highway, some time between 8.30pm on Tuesday last week and 8.30am the following day.


Firearm, drugs found

A FIEARM was found by police during a search of a vehicle that was bogged in Beverford.

Police were called to the Murray Valley Highway north of Swan Hill about 9pm on Monday last week.

Officers found a vehicle that was bogged before a male occupant ran off.

Police searched the vehicle and found ammunition, a modified firearm and a quantity of methylamphetamine.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested and charged with various offences, including trafficking methylamphetamine and firearm offences.

She was bailed to attend court at a later date.

Police were yet to speak with the male.


Unlicensed driver speeding

POLICE arrested an unlicensed man caught speeding in Robinvale.

Officers stopped a vehicle travelling at excessive speed on Bromley Road about 9pm on Thursday last week.

The 29-year-old was unlicensed and in possession of cannabis and a hunting knife.

He was arrested before being released pending summons.
