Arrest over drugs, fire

A MAN was arrested after he was found in possession of drugs while sitting next to an illegal fire in a residential park in Swan Hill.

Police responsed to the incident at Jaycee Park about 1.30pm on June 11.

On arrival, police located a male in possession of a bag containing cannabis.

A search was conducted and more cannabis was located in a foil wrapper.

The man was taken to the police station for processing.

Drunk patron smashes door

AN intoxicated patron caused damage to a licensed club in Swan Hill after being told to leave.

The male was refused further alcohol due to his behaviour and intoxication at the Curlewis Street address on June 11.

On exiting the premises, the male kicked a glass door, causing it to smash.

Police were called and would examine CCTV to identify the accused.

Drug affected

POLICE last week arrested a man after finding him walking while intoxicated on the main street of Swan Hill.

The man was seen by officers walking down the middle of Campbell Street in the early hours on June 9.

Police approached and asked him to remove himself to the footpath. The male became agitated.

Police found a quantity of illicit tablets known as methylphenidate, used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Officers said he had more than a personal amount.

The male offender also produced an ‘ice’ pipe, indicating he had just smoked methamphetamine.

He was arrested and processed at the Swan Hill police station.
