Footy back on the winners’ list

Moulamein Notes

OUR seniors got back on the winners’ list against Macorna this week.

Unfortunately, our A Grade netballers suffered their first loss for the season. B Grade won and I think some of our junior netballers had a win.

This week we go to Murrabit. They changed the draw so I got a bit mixed up.

Still not Murrabit market day so I will have to drive myself over.

This is our closest away match. Come over for a look and cheer the Mighty Swans on.

King’s Birthday bowls tournament

IT is on June 10 and 11. Two bowls triples, five games with 14 ends.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea supplied both days.

For more information, call Kerryn on 0407 800 111.

River levels

THE Edward has finally hit the lowest level it will be for a little while as they are letting Stevens Weir go.

There is over 1700 megalitres coming through it at the moment.

This rise will be short-lived, but it may liven the cod up so we can get a feed.

The Edward is just over 800 ML at the moment and around 1.15 metres.

The Billabong is still supplying around 200 ML a day.

Get your fishing rod in while you can and tell me if you catch one.

At the moment it is carp, carp and the odd small cod.

The positive note is that you can just squash the carp and put it in your drop net to get a feed of yabbies. They are still biting.
