LAKE Boga narrowly escaped their first loss of the season against Tyntynder at the weekend, beating the Dogs by six goals.
Coming off a win against Koondrook-Barham in round 3, the Dogs went on to the court firing, keeping within three goals of the undefeated Magpies in the first quarter. But a few errors in the second quarter allowed their deficit to triple by half-time.
In a strong third-quarter performance, the Dogs clawed their way back within six goals, and they were able to maintain keep this momentum for the rest of the game. Tyntynder’s coach Teagan Lawry was pleased with the performance of her team against one of the stronger sides in the competition.
“We had a great tussle against a very strong and physical Lake Boga side,” she said.
“Our girls stayed true to their game plan and played their best netball so far this season.”
