Strassman’s diet of character comedy

INTERNATIONALLY renowned ventriloquist-comedian David Strassman is set to have the Swan Hill Town Hall in stitches next week.

Swan Hill Town Hall venue manager Simon Myers said it will be great to finally welcome Strassman to Swan Hill after he had to postpone his show last year due to the floods.

“Someone of that calibre in Swan Hill is something that everyone should check out – it’s not like we are going to see him every year, so it’s a great opportunity to see a world class performer,” Mr Myers said.

Strassman will perform his newest show, The Chocolate Diet, which is based on Ted E. Bare’s health quest and Check Wood’s identity crisis. Both are well-known Strassman characters.

“When you think about it, it is a whole show based on him – he is a great artist in that regard,” Mr Myers said.

Strassman will perform The Chocolate Diet, at the Swan Hill Town Hall on Tuesday, May 9, at 7pm. Tickets cost $59-$99.

This performance is rated MA and children aged between 12 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted.

To buy tickets, visit the Swan Hill Town Hall website at swanhilltownhall.com. Tickets are also available at the Swan Hill Town Hall box office.
