Church Notes

Anglican

FROM the solemnity of Good Friday marking Jesus’ crucifixion, to the joy of Easter Sunday, we shared the story of the Risen Lord, our Saviour, one who promises eternal love.

Many visitors gathered with us for the Easter services.

On Good Friday, after the service, we enjoyed hot cross buns, generously donated, to remind us of the cross at Calvary.

On Sunday, the many visitors added even more joy to our celebration.

As a sign of the empty tomb and new life, hollow Easter eggs were distributed.

The monthly boot sale is on Saturday morning, so come along and enjoy the many things on offer at both sites, including barbecue, scones and morning tea.

Grain Shed

NOW that Easter is over for another year and with it the traditional camping and chocolate, let’s continue to celebrate all that our Saviour Jesus Christ did for us.

“These have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and that through your faith in Him you may have life.” John 20:31.

A big thank you to our creative team who worked so hard at putting together our fantastic Easter services. To watch or rewatch them, go on to YouTube at The Grain Shed Swan Hill. Very powerful and moving.

Throughout the school holidays, most of our in-house activities are on a break except for our craft ladies who meet Thursday at 10am.

This Sunday, at 10am, Pastor La’Mont is on the platform and has a message sure to have us reflecting. Our doors are open to all, so come along, invite a friend and stay around in fellowship with a drink and a bite to eat.

Save the date: Saturday, April 29 – French cooking class fundraiser, 10am-2.30pm. Come along, have fun preparing and then sit down and eat like the French with a typical French meal. Contact Robyn at reception on 5032 9449 to book your place. $80 per person (all ingredients and recipes are supplied).
