SWAN HILL

FRIDAY Frolic will be back on this afternoon with Easter now behind us. All are welcome to attend, whether you are an experienced bowler or have no experience and would like to give bowls a try.

Names need to be entered by 2.30pm for a 3pm start and will be followed by the social activities in the club house after the game.

Easter brought with it a mixed bag of weather, however our three-day carnival proceeded, with those attending enjoying their bowls and delicious afternoon teas, served by our willing workers. Sincere thanks to all the helpers that contributed to a successful carnival and those who entered the tournament.

It was pleasing to have a team from Deniliquin, J.Hillier and his young son and daughter, two aspiring young bowlers, competing.

Good Friday results – 3 Bowl Pairs: Winners were Norm and Margaret Smith (Racecourse), while runners-up were Swan Hill Bowls super veterans Alan Marshman and Bill King.

Saturday April 8 results – 2 Bowl Triples: Winners were the Racecourse/Murray Downs combination of Bruce Horsburgh, Daryl Barry and Elaine Lawry, with the runners-up being Racecourse’s Glen McIntosh, Arthur Threadgold and John Ford.
