Church Notes

Anglican

WHILE Rev Denis is away we are enjoying the diversity of visiting clergy.

The Rev Eddie Barkla ministers to the cycling community in the Bendigo area and Bishop Matt of course ministers across our diocese.

This Sunday, March 12, Bishop Matt will preside at the 9am service and after a quick morning tea he will chair the annual general meeting.

Nominations for all positions are required on the forms at church before the meeting.

We encourage all parishioners to come and support and celebrate the achievements of the Swan Hill Parish.

We have begun taking donations of Easter eggs for families who are supported by Anglicare. The families were so appreciative of the gift of Easter eggs last year that we decided to do the same again.

Collection baskets are in the church and we thank you in anticipation.

Grain Shed

HOW lucky we are to be living in such an amazingly beautiful region and on this long weekend our town will be blessed with many out-of-towners coming to visit.

We also welcome Barry Buirski from Celebrate Messiah at the Grain Shed this Sunday 10am, as our guest speaker.

There will be no Grainshed kids on site, however back Sunday, March 19.

Pastor La’Mont shared a message last week on God’s Spiritual Blessings and for those who missed it or would like to rewatch it, please go to our Grain Shed Church Swan Hill YouYube channel.

‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.’ Ephesians 1:3 NIV

Thank you to Sal and Helen for organising a very successful Gather event last Saturday. On all reports, connecting was the object of the day and there were many laughs, chats, and even projects advanced and finished. The question has been asked, when is the next one?

Tonight at 7pm to 9pm our Grain Shed Youth meet at the Grain Shed and will be in their growth groups. If you are or have a secondary student interested in joining and learning more about Jesus, contact youth@thegrainshed.org.au.

This Monday due to Labour Day there will be no mainly music.

Thursday 10am to 12pm, Craft ladies get together.

Save the date: Wednesday, March 22 – Appreciation Supper, 7pm – 8pm; Sunday, April 2 – Easter Jam.
