ADVENT, a time of waiting for Christ, is being celebrated each week by lighting a candle on the Advent wreath.

We have celebrated hope and peace and this week we celebrate love, especially the love of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.

Last week, Ultima enjoyed their pre-Christmas service, with joyful carol singing.

The Ultima monthly service will resume in February.

Thank you to those who have generously donated money to be used to prepare Christmas hampers for families supported by Anglicare.

Money may still be given at office, or to Rev Denis Gell.

A Christmas Eve service will be held at All Saints’ Nyah West at 7.30pm.

The Christmas Day service will be held in Swan Hill at 9.30am.

These services are open to all who wish to celebrate Christmas. All welcome.


Grain Shed

A READING out of the Word for Today this week – never forget those who helped you.

‘Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.’ Philippians 1:3 NLT.

Appreciation is so easy to give but can often be forgotten. At the Grain Shed, we have so many people to thank for all that is done, seen or not seen, throughout the year, whether it be as staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, church family or visitors. Praise God!

What an amazing Jingle Jam FX service and family fun day was held here last Sunday.

An enormous thank you to Pastor Rita, Jodi and Gary, as they put in so much work, and more, preparing. And then to all our student leaders, children, parents and all who participated in one way or another, thank you.

Tomorrow our Grain Shed Youth make their way to Bendigo for laser tagging. What a way to end the year! Woohoo! Thanks to all the fantastic youth leaders for your great work.

This Sunday, our guest speakers are David and Colleen Noblet from YWAM Perth. Also sadly, we will be sending off our wonderful youth leaders, Liz Hindle, as she prepares a new chapter in her life and Tom Waldron who is stepping down.

Come along, 10am the service starts and stay around in fellowship afterwards. This will be our last Grainshed kids for 2022 on site.

How lovely to see the families come to the last mainly music session on Monday with a special Christmas music program put together by Jess and delicious party food shared by all.

Thanks to all the families and mainly music team who have helped make this year so special and such fun.

Our craft ladies are back in on Thursday at 10am.

Save the date:

Christmas Eve: Saturday, December 14 – 6pm service, all are welcome.

There will be no service held on Christmas Day nor community Christmas lunch.

Christmas hampers have been prepared and available for people in need of assistance, call 5032 9449.
