Instructor Nikki Capone said aerial hoop would be included in the program, along with the usual ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop and acrobatics.
She said 150 students would be performing across the two shows, at 1pm and 7pm, at the Swan Hill Town Hall tomorrow.
“They are aged from two-and-a-half years old up to adults, all with varied skills and strength,” she said.
“The theme this year is a collection of songs from various movies and television shows, so we really encourage the audience to guess where the music is from.”
Ms Capone said there were amazing talents in the dance school’s ranks.
“I’m very proud of all our students,” she said.
“They have all been working during the year towards the annual concert and at dress rehearsals for the past two weeks.”
Ms Capone said there were four trained instructors teaching aerial hoop for the past two years.
Tomorrow’s concert will be the first time it’s showcased under the bright lights of the town hall.
“I have been really impressed by the dancers, we have some very strong kids,” Ms Capone said.
“It’s not as easy as it looks.”
Ms Capone gave a thank-you to the teachers, student teachers, students, family and friends for their support in 2022.
“I couldn’t do it without you all, and also thank you for the help received with costumes because they look amazing.”
Ms Capone said she was thrilled to see the dancers return to the studio for the full year after COVID interruptions in the previous two years.
“Seeing the kids get back into the studio was wonderful to see after the challenges of COVID,” she said.
“We were the last to reopen so it meant a lot of time online.
“All my kids are big stars and can’t wait to see them perform tomorrow.”
