2pm: Swan Hill District Garden Club 40th birthday. All members past and present, along with family and interested community members, are invited to attend. 7.30pm: A Movie at the Museum. The Lake Boga Lions Club present the true story of an unlikely hero. Penguin Bloom is screening at the Flying Boat Museum. Gold coin donation, BYO drinks and light supper


TOMORROW

8am: Lake Boga Foreshore parkrun. Join us for a walk, jog or run along the beautiful 5km course. Bring the whole family, walk and talk with friends, or challenge yourself. It’s the best way to kick off the weekend. For more details, www.parkrun.com.au/lakebogaforeshore

9am-12 noon: Boot sale and cottage crafts. Anglican boot sale on the third Saturday of the month at the Anglican Function Centre. A large variety of stalls including books, household items, craft, fruit, honey, plants and vegetables. Barbecue and Joan’s scones. Plus a garage sale at 62 McCallum Street

All day: Central Murray Football Netball League grand final at Swan Hill Showgrounds

11am: Centenary of the Ultima War Memorial. Invitation to the rededication ceremony to mark the centenary of the Ultima War Memorial. A service will be held at the Cenotaph, followed by a cuppa and nibbles at the Ultima Hall, Dillion Street


SUNDAY

8.30am-2pm: Show ‘n’ Shine. Buloke Collectable Vehicle Club Inc. All vehicles welcome. Classic cars, imports, trucks, 4×4, motorcycles, pedal cars and more. $10 per vehicle. All profits this year will go to local hospitals in the Buloke Shire

10am-12.30pm: Repair Cafe. Third Sunday of each month. Bring your items for fixing between 10am and 12 noon to the Men’s Shed at Neighbourhood House. Volunteers will assist you in repairing your item. For more details, email repaircafe@shnh.org.au

1.30pm: Spinning wheel fundraiser. The Swan Hill District Arthritis Self Help Group are holding a spinning wheel with good prizes and a raffle

2pm-4pm: Swan Hill Ukulele Group. Come along and enjoy listening to the Swan Hill Ukulele Group at the Swan Hill Club

3pm: Swan Hill RSL bingo every Sunday. Eyes down at 3pm sharp


MONDAY

1pm-5pm: Minecraft and VR Pop-Up Play at the library. Suitable for ages 5+. Minecraft is a video game in which players create and break apart various kinds of blocks in three-dimensional worlds

Volunteers will be on hand to help VR Pop-Up Play. Have some out-of-this-world fun with our PlayStation virtual reality headset. Suitable for ages 12+


TUESDAY

10.30am: Murray Downs bingo. Bring a friend and enjoy a fun morning of bingo with eyes down from 10.30am

10.30am for 11am: Social bowls at Nyah. All welcome. Names can be rung through, $5 to play, bowls available. One game before lunch and one after. Bring along a share lunch

10am-11am: School holiday workshops for kids at the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. Sun sensitive paper: let’s go outside and collect objects. Use the sun and found materials to discover new ways of image making with this light sensitive material. Age 6-12yrs, $5 per child or free if you hold a family gallery membership

7.15pm: Bingo at Tooleybuc Sporting Club at 7.15pm


WEDNESDAY

2pm-4pm: Lego at the library. Come along and enjoy the fun with our special Lego at the library, suitable for ages 3+, free

12 noon-2pm: Swan Hill Crafty Critters. Come along to the Swan Hill Club. Free of charge, this meeting is the initial meet and greet to bring locals together to share our hobbies. Drawing, painting, card making, knitting, crochet, digital art, creative writing, diamond art and much more

7pm-8pm: Twilight Tales – Dinosaur Roar Come along to a special evening Storytime. Pop on your PJs and join us for some prehistoric fun. We will share amazing dinosaur-themed stories as well as fun-action rhymes. Children can then make dinosaur craft while enjoying a slice of pizza. Children aged 3+, free, booking essential


ALL WEEKEND

Kerang Orchid Show 2022. Potting demonstrations, floral art, photography, plant sales. Refreshments available, $5 entry

Tuesday-Friday (10am-5pm), Saturday and Sunday (10am-4pm): Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery Print & Drawing Acquisitive Awards 2022. Outstanding works on paper including prints and drawings from our local secondary schools are a promise of great things to come.
