BOOK week celebrations have been happening in schools across the country this week, including St Mary’s Primary School in Swan Hill and Nyah District Primary School.
Students at Nyah District have been celebrating book week by participating in a variety of different activities.
Each classroom door was decorated by students to represent a favourite book, and there was also a collection of Where’s Wally hidden around the school in various locations for students to find.
Throughout the week, students were also treated to some special visitors coming to the school to read to them, including Leading Senior Constable Andrew Downes, Damien Murray from the Swan Hill Regional Library outreach van, councillor Nicole McKay and yoga instructor Nicole Cutri, who also involved the students in some yoga stretches.
