Missing woman stopped at Berriwillock service station

CCTV images of missing South Australia woman Colleen South have emerged at a Calder Highway service station.

The footage was captured about noon on July 3, the last day the 58-year-old was seen.

It shows the grandmother attempting to pay for fuel at Sunraysia Petroleum’s self-serve Shell service station at Berriwillock.

The ABC, which spoke to a member of Ms South’s family who has seen the footage, reported another person at the service station noticed her struggling and paid $10 for her petrol.

Ms South was wearing a brightly coloured jacket in the footage, which differs from an earlier witness, who saw her in a black-and-white striped shirt.

Ms South’s family reported the footage was captured four hours before her car was found crashed in a ditch in Bunguluke, near Wycheproof.

Her belongings, including medication, a purse, keys and clothes were found about 20 metres from the locked vehicle. It is believed the jacket was not among them.

Less than two weeks ago Ms South’s Samsung mobile phone was without its SIM card at Port Noarlunga in South Australia.

Ms South was reported missing on June 30, prompting an extensive search by police and the SES.

Victoria Police Superintendent Rebecca Olsen told The Guardian last week a drone had been deployed on Wednesday in an area that had previously been searched.

“This was due to some additional clothing that had been located, but still yet to be determined if connected to Colleen South,” Supt Olsen said.

“This area had been searched on a number of occasions.”

Ms South’s family are looking to hire a private investigator since police scaled back the search. A GoFundMe page has been started to help fund the cost.

Ms South is about 154cm tall, of solid build, and has brown hair and green eyes.

Her disappearance is not being treated as suspicious by police, however there are concerns for her welfare.
