Celebrating a fantastic weekend in Swan Hill

To the Editor,

I WOULD like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Swan Hill community for a truly outstanding long weekend of events. The energy and excitement across the region was just incredible. It was fantastic to see so many people out and about, enjoying everything our towns have to offer.

A special thank you to our local hospitality venues. Your efforts in catering were exceptional, ensuring that everyone who spent time in our region felt welcome and well looked after. Embracing the Dine and Find initiative created an electric atmosphere with live music around every corner. The support and enthusiasm from businesses created an unforgettable experience, and this is something we should all take great pride in.

The Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival was another standout highlight of the weekend, showcasing the exceptional local produce, wine, craft beer and other drinks, and culinary talent our region is known for. From the incredible food to the live entertainment and festive atmosphere, this event just keeps getting bigger and better each year and is a true celebration of what makes Swan Hill such a special destination. Congratulations to the organisers, vendors, and everyone who contributed to making it such a memorable occasion, and it was clear that Shannon Noll was a big hit!

I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the dedicated organisers of the Splash Down and Rev Up event at Lake Boga. Your hard work and commitment to delivering such a successful event does not go unnoticed. Events like these not only bring our community together but also showcase the incredible experiences our region has to offer. What those pilots, including local Glenn Graham, can do with a plane is absolutely mind-boggling!

Topping it all off was the Sonic Speedway, just in case you hadn’t had enough of an adrenalin rush for the weekend!

To everyone who played a part in making the long weekend such a success—thank you! Your commitment and sacrifices are appreciated. The buzz around our municipality was truly special, and it reinforces what we already know—our region is an amazing place to live, work, and visit.
