SWAN HILL
Attempted Burglary: ABOUT 9.30pm on Wednesday February 5, the occupant of a home in Rutherford Street Swan Hill was woken to a sound outside her home. She got out of bed and opened her rear door to see a male standing on her patio. The lady with some gumption told the male to leave which he did. She later discovered that one of her windows had evidence of tampering. This investigation is ongoing.
Bicycle theft: OFFENDERS have stolen a black Flight mountain bike from an address in Haig Court Swan Hill between 12pm on Thursday February 6 and 7am the following day.
Theft from motor vehicle: ABOUT 6.15am on Friday February 7, the victim observed a male standing near his vehicle in Gillespie Street Swan Hill. The male rode off on a mountain bike and the victim discovered that a mobile phone had been stolen from his vehicle.
GANNAWARRA
Collision: POLICE are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from Cohuna in the evening of Monday February 3. A silver Holden Commodore sedan was reported stolen from a Livingstone Street address. It was located in what appears to have been a rollover on the Murray Valley Highway Gunbower. Passersby attended the accident scene and called police. Damage: THE window of a home in Vaughan Street Kerang has been damaged by what appears to be rocks thrown between 11pm on Saturday February 8 and 8am the following day.
Livestock theft: BETWEEN May and November 2024, the victim has discovered that 100 lambs and 80 ewes have gone from his flock located in the Sandhill Lake area. The sheep were merino border Leicester cross.
ROBINVALE
Collision: JUST after 3am on Sunday February 9, it appears a driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a paddock of dry grass while travelling on Moore Street Robinvale. The vehicle was towing a camper trailer. The 63-year-old male driver and sole occupant, was able to get out of the vehicle before the vehicle caught on fire. Ambulance attended and conveyed the driver to Mildura for assessment.
Fire: POLICE located an unattended fire pit which was burning all types of materials about 1.30pm on Saturday February 8 while they were patrolling the Hattah-Robinvale Road at Bannerton. The owner returned to the fire and was informed by police that it must be extinguished immediately as it was a fire danger period. Investigations are also being undertaken in relation to the materials being burnt, chemicals and potential other hazardous material.
