Revitalised market a success

THE Swan Hill Market held its third event on Father’s Day, and despite the challenging windy weather, it was a great success, according to the committee.

Spokesperson for the market, Karen Mott, said it was a thrill to see so many patrons come out to enjoy the market and make the day special.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated stallholders, who braved the elements to showcase their unique products,” she said.

“While some stallholders had to cancel due to the forecast and concerns for their weather-sensitive goods, those who were able to attend created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

“It was another special market with our founder Lyn Heslop stopping by to see how the day was going.

“She was once again touched by the dedication shown towards the We Believe in Unicorns fundraiser which raised $1290.15.”

Funds are used to directly support local families.

Ms Heslop said she will be forever grateful to John Daniel and the committee for bringing something very close to her heart back to life.

“We’d like to extend a big thank you to Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary for cooking up a delicious barbecue, The Bean Hopper Coffee Van for keeping everyone energised and our fantastic food vendors – Mallee Hot Bites, Elaine’s Kitchen, and Carol’s Donuts – for serving up tasty treats throughout the day.”
