GEORGIE Haw takes the reins in her sixth year of coaching with Boort, after having last season away from the side.
The team played well all year to make the grand final but went down to Nullawil by five points in a disappointing finish.
This year the side will be without tall shooter Stephanie Haw and wing attack Jo Isaac.
Haw said the side would fill the gaps with players from B-grade.
“We’re really fortunate to have a lot of depth through our B-grade side so we feel we’ll be competitive again this year,” she said.
Player to watch – Emma Darker
Darker will take a full-time place in the A-grade side this year after bouncing between both A-grade and B-grade last year.
She will provide valuable support in defence.
A smart player, Darker consistently makes good decisions under pressure.
