Machinery stolen

FARM machinery worth $260,000 was stolen from a property at McMillans, southwest of Cohuna, between 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday, December 19. Swan Hill Crime Investigation unit is seeking information about the following machinery, A 2022 Red NDE Vertical Feed Mixer Wagon S/N: GS1000D valued at $220,000; and a 2000 Green Deutz 230 tractor valued at $40,000. Anyone with information is urged to contact their local police and quote incident number 230448964.


Firearm seized

AN unregistered long firearm was seized by police from an address in Hungerford Lane, Vinifera, after it was found in a bedroom while police searched the address for offenders around 10.30am on December 24.


Fuel theft

A WHITE Mitsubishi station wagon stopped at a Nyah Service station, pumped 60 litres of fuel into the vehicle and the driver left without paying. Police have identified the offender.


Flick knife found

POLICE found a prohibited flick knife, and 250ml of the illicit drug GHB while executing a search warrant at a Donald Street address in Nyah West on December 19.


Bike stolen

A black mountain bike was stolen from the rear of a retail business in Campbell Street between 9am and midday on December 23.


Teenage thieves

AT 2.36pm on December 19, a teenage male and female entered a store in Campbell Street and stole several items. Both were identified and will face prosecution.


Commemorative coins

OFFENDERS have forced open a locked cabinet at the Pioneer Settlement Tourist Park on December 23 and stolen four silver commemorative coins.


Hot on the scent

A MALE has exited a store in Campbell Street with a bottle of cologne without paying for the item. Police arrested the offender a short distance away and was remanded in custody for other offences.


Drugs discovered

POLICE searched a male bike rider stopped in Burton Avenue at about 1am on December 16. They seized a silver “push knife” and a small bag of crystal methamphetamine.


Road blitz

SWAN Hill Highway Patrol issued more than a dozen Penalty Infringement Notices for speeding and other offences last weekend. One driver refused to give a sample of his breath. when asked to conduct a preliminary breath test. This will result in a two-year loss of licence.
