THE Balranald Town Garage Sale is set to make a much-anticipated return in 2025.
Organisers are urging residents to get involved, with it offering a fantastic opportunity to declutter and sell unwanted items while giving visitors the chance to grab a great bargain.
With hopes of making this year’s event bigger and better, organisers are calling for Balranald residents to register their sites.
Scheduled to take place on March 8, the day is expected to attract bargain hunters from as far as Robinvale and Swan Hill, making it a great day out for both residents and visitors alike.
Organiser and workshop coordinator at the Balranald Art Gallery Jan Lawler is encouraging residents to get involved and visitors to come along for a day of bargain hunting.
“The event did not go forward last year due to lack of interest, and we want to bring it back again this year,” she said.
“The garage sale will be held on Victoria’s Labour Day long weekend as we hope to attract visitors from across the border.
“Previously we’ve seen visitors come from various towns in Victoria who came over to make a day of it, and we want the same this year.
“In past sales we’ve seen people sell a variety of goods from camping gear to clothes.
“We want to see Balranald residents come forward and share their interest in the event.
“There is a $10 registration fee for all residents who want to get involved and sell their items.
“We will publish a free map of the town that will be available from the visitor centre.
“The map will list what sites are selling so visitors can navigate their way around to each site.
“The more residents involved the better, so if you are interested in selling some items please register.”
With the event fast approaching sellers are encouraged to reach out as soon as possible.
