Catalina Museum’s new dining venue

A POPULAR Lake Boga venue is set to re-open next month, as Catalina Grill House becomes the area’s hot new dining spot.

The venue, adjoining the historic Catalina Museum, has new tenants following the transfer of the lease from the previous tenant, Boo’s Lakeside cafe.

Luke and Karen Dear will bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for creating a unique dining experience to the Lake Boga community.

The Dears said they are looking forward to beginning “a new chapter for the Lake Boga community”.

“We are excited to transform the space into the Catalina Grill House,” They said.

“A veteran-owned business focusing on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our locals and visitors to the community with simple food cooked well.”

Swan Hill Rural City Council Mayor Cr Les McPhee said council officers had been working to negotiate the changes in the lease with Lake Boga Lions Club and Boo’s Lakeside.

“The venue has undoubtedly been popular for locals and tourists alike and it has been dearly missed, following the recent temporary closure,” he said.

“It will be great to see a new business up and running in time for the busy summer season.

“I can assure you that throughout the closure period, council officers have been working hard behind the scenes to reach this positive outcome.”

The couple plans to open the venue around mid-December and will release more details soon.
