A good news story

WE hear about people who do bad things, but not much on people who show kindness to others.

On Tuesday, my husband and I were leaving Swan Hill in the late afternoon and were just past the Murray Downs entrance when we developed a flat tyre.

After pulling off the road and finding a level site to change the tyre, we considered how to manage it.

Years ago, this would not have been a problem, but at 93 years of age, this presented a challenge.

Then, miraculously, this wonderful young man pulled up to offer assistance.

We gratefully accepted, and as he started to assist, another car pulled up.

These were co-workers who’d finished work at the farm along the road.

This amazing trio set to work, and in 10 minutes we were back on the road again.

How fortunate we were to have that assistance in time of need, and how kind people can be.
