SWAN HILL

Car fire: ABOUT midnight on Saturday, January 25, police and CFA attended Miles Court, Swan Hill, where a car was on fire. The heat from the fire also caused damage to another vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damage: BETWEEN 1am and 2am on Friday, January 24, a resident was woken by loud banging at her front door in Cadell Street, Swan Hill. When she checked on the door in the morning, she found that the security door had been damaged.

Thefts: IN recent weeks numerous thefts from motor vehicles and theft of bicycles were reported to police. On Wednesday, January 22, a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with numerous offences. He was bailed to attend court at a later date.

Theft from motor vehicle: ENTRY was gained to a vehicle parked in Burton Street, Swan Hill, between 7.30pm on Thursday, January 23, and 6.30am the following day. A backpack containing a laptop and various other property were stolen. A member of the public located the laptop in Norton Park and handed it in to police.

Theft: A CAMPING swag and 22 golf clubs were stolen between 8pm on Tuesday, January 21, and 1pm the following day from the front yard of a property in Stradbroke Avenue, Swan Hill. The items had been placed on the lawn listed for sale.

Theft: PARCELS delivered to a Nalder Drive property were stolen between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Monday, January 20.

Theft: TWO e-scooters were stolen between 5pm on Monday, January 20, and 8am the following day from under the carport of a property in High Street, Swan Hill.

Theft: A RED Pathfinder 140XL mobility scooter was stolen from an address in Naretha Street, Swan Hill, between 9pm on Tuesday, January 21, and 7am the following day.

Trespass: ABOUT 4.30am on Saturday, January 25, a group of people were seen hanging around a vehicle parked in McAlpine Lane, Nyah, who then jumped into a vehicle and drove off. It appeared there was nothing taken from the vehicle.


ROBINVALE

Carjacking: A 29-year-old man from NSW was remanded in custody after being arrested in relation to an alleged carjacking in Robinvale. About 10pm on Saturday, January 25, the alleged victim pulled into her garage at her Robinvale home. A man opened the door while she was still inside. The man forced her out of the car and drove off. The vehicle, a red Subaru Forrester wagon, was recovered in Mildura.


GANNAWARRA

Fire: CFA and police were called to a house fire in Koondrook in the early hours of Monday, January 27. The home was extensively damaged but the occupants were able to escape without injury. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.


BULOKE

Fire: ABOUT 6am on Friday, January 24, a home in Dempsey Street, Wycheproof, caught fire. CFA attended and extinguished the fire. The occupant was not home at the time. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
