Grain Shed News

1 John 4:9 “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”

This Sunday 10am, come along, invite family and friends to join us as we celebrate Christmas

From all of us here at the Grain Shed, and Christmas only five days away, may our time together be filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Let our celebrations reflect the warmth of your love and the spirit of giving that defines this season and as we exchange gifts, help us remember the ultimate gift of Christ’s love, the reason for our celebration.

May the joy of Christmas extend beyond the day, inspiring us to be instruments of our Heavenly Father’s grace and kindness in the lives of others.

There will be no Christmas Eve, Christmas Day service held. The next service will be Sunday, December 29, 10am.

Anglican News

THE last boot sale for 2024 will be on tomorrow. All the usual will be available, plus special raffle prizes to celebrate the Christmas season. On Christmas Eve there will be a service in Swan Hill at 5.30pm and another in Nyah West on the lawn outside the church at 7.30pm. All are welcome, please bring a picnic chair.

On Christmas Day there will be a Parish Service at 9.30am in Swan Hill. Again, all are welcome.

A Blue Christmas service

NOT feeling the Christmas spirit, you know, the “happy, happy, joy, joy” feeling? The local churches are together hosting a Blue Christmas service at 7.30pm tonight at the Anglican Church next to the hospital. It will be a simple service, with a chance to acknowledge the challenges we may face at Christmas – like the loss of loved ones, the struggle for enough money, or even if life just doesn’t seem to go how you need. The service will be followed by a cuppa for those who’d like to talk more.
