AIMIE Brown will return as Bridgewater’s A Grade coach for the 2023 season and is hoping to build on what they were able to achieve last year.
“I was happy with how we ended our season, but due to a lack of consistency in the playing group, I don’t think the team got to where we could have gotten,” Brown said.
“We are being positive that we will have a full season and that player availability will be much higher.”
Bridgewater will be able to field all four senior teams, as well as three junior teams and a minis team.
Hayley Hogan will be coach B Grade, while C Grade will be led by Rhiannon Galvin and C Reserve by Samara Finch.
The Mean Machine will unfortunately lose a fair bit of experience from their squad, with Claudia Collins, Anna Meade, Allana Swatton and Kath Meade all not returning for the 2023 season. However, they have been able to recruit a few new additions, as well as having some junior players ready take to the court in the senior grades.
“We just want a positive and strong playing group, and to really develop our teams and social culture within the club,” Brown said.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Brown couldn’t decide on just one player to keep an eye on this season. “Any of the young ones could definitely step up and play some amazing netball,” she said.
