Lighting the way

SWAN HILL and Robinvale will be illuminated this April and May thanks to a new light display.

Director of development and planning Heather Green said Swan Hill Council was delighted to be bringing breathtaking light shows to both towns.

Yana Waingi, meaning Walk in Lights, will run from April 21 to April 30 in Swan Hill and Kartini Waingi, meaning Water Lights, will run from May 4 to May 7 in Robinvale.

Robinvale’s show will be projected on the water of the banks of the Murray River.

“It will be an unforgettable night-time water laser show experience, showcasing the vibrant, diverse and rich culture of Robinvale,” Ms Green said.

Ms Green said both shows were set to be impressive and connect visitors to the rich history and culture of our region.

She said that it would be fun for the entire family, as well as an interactive way to learn about our region’s rich history.

Kartini Waingi tickets will only be available at the gate and will be free for children and $5 for adults.
