CHILDREN were able to show off their creative flair at the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery’s Family Fun Day.
Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery administration officer Maryanne Darroch said more than 200 people attended the free event last Thursday, with kids and parents having the chance to have a go at a range of fun, artistic activities.
“There was a lot of participation, lots of families, and the weather the fabulous, so it was a real success,” Ms Darroch said.
The activities at the family fun day included art jigsaw puzzles, outdoor table tennis, still life drawing, pottery, traditional Aboriginal basket weaving, collage making, Aboriginal inspired painting, ukulele playing and colouring in for the little ones.
“We’ve had lots of really good responses on social media and people on the day said it was fabulous,” Ms Darroch said.
“It was the first time we had ever done run it, so it is something we will look at doing again for sure.”
