ANGLICAN

TO the clip clop of horse and cart, the rumble of old cars, the music of the Happy Wanderers and the laughter of children, we gathered in the Pioneer Settlement church to worship in an older Church of England style.

Many, including Rev Denis, were dressed in pioneer clothing to add to the atmosphere for worshippers and tourists.

After the service, about 20 people enjoyed a sociable lunch at the Paragon Cafe. It was a lovely day out for all.

The monthly Ultima service has been postponed until next week in the public hall at 7.30pm. All welcome.

GRAIN SHED

PASTOR La’Mont will on Sunday begin his sermon series on “hope”. How timely as we face the uncertainty of floods and rain.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15, verse 13.

To share the hope of Christmas, we are collecting hampers to be distributed in our local community.

There are empty bags with shopping lists attached in the church foyer.

If you’d like to be part of this, you can collect a bag and return it once it’s full. We are collecting them throughout November.

To all our mainly music families, we look forward to seeing you all on November 7, starting at 10am for some singing and fun.

Tomorrow, we are having our time of craft and stitching.

We’ll be at the church from 10am-4pm. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Being together brings us hope and we can encourage each other.
