SONIC Speedway fires up again on Saturday December 28 with more than 20 cars entered for the running of the Glare Memorial for Standard Saloons.
Held in honour of long-time speedway club members Mick and Jo Glare, the drivers will be going full on to win this class.
AMCAs will return to the track and with limitations on motors, driver skill and determination will show out.
Expect fast, close action with these drivers.
Sports Sedans are having a weekend off from their highly competitive Series rounds so about 10 of them are coming here to get a feel for the track as they will be racing the second last round of their Series here in April.
Up to 10 Lightning Sprints will be racing also.
They look like a smaller version of a Sprint Car but are still very quick.
Talking of Sprint Cars, we are hosting their state title event next season, so that meeting will be huge.
As entries are still coming in, I haven’t got any driver details yet.
As usual hot and cold food and drinks are available as well as trackside parking if you get there early.
There is also a grassed area to watch the action from.
Racing starts at 6.30pm so for a great nights entertainment “get ya backside trackside.”
