Finals venues decided

THE 2022 Central Murray and Golden Rivers Football Netball League finals series have been locked in, with the Central Murray FNL Grand Final set to be played at Swan Hill Showgrounds on Saturday, September 17 – with the Golden Rivers FNL decider to be played a week earlier at Nullawil.

The Central Murray league will kick off its first finals series since 2019 on the last weekend in August, playing the qualifying final at the Woorinen Recreation Reserve – before fourth and fifth on the ladder will fight for their season in the elimination final the following day at Nyah Recreation Reserve.

The finals will move to Riverside Park in Kerang on Saturday, September 3, with the Blues to host the second semi-final, with the winner of that match to move straight through to the grand final. The first semi-final will be played on Sunday at Alan Garden Reserve, with the winner of that match moving on to the preliminary final at Cohuna Recreation Reserve on September 10.

The Golden Rivers finals will kick off on Saturday, August 20, with the third and fourth-placed finishers in the respective grades hitting the road for Hay for the first semi-final, before the top two teams will face off for a grand final berth in the second semi-final at Quambatook the following weekend, with the winner to head straight to the grand final at Nullawil.

The preliminary final will then take place at the Wandella Recreation Reserve on September 3, with the winner of that match to go through and play off in the grand final.
