Dogs day out

THE pup-arazzi will be out in full swing at the Showbiz Swan Hill Cinemas, announcing a unique dog friendly movie premiere this Sunday.

Attendees of the premiere screening will be able to bring their dog along for a morning at the movies.

With dog friendly movie sessions having been held in capital cities around Australia with great success, Showbiz Cinema Group director Andrew Taylor was keen to see the idea in action in Swan Hill.

“We are absolutely thrilled to again bring this unique cinema screening concept to Swan Hill,” Mr Taylor said.

“So, when Dog was slated from theatrical release, we felt this would be an ideal time to bring the concept to Swan Hill.”

The movie Dog is a comedy-drama road film directed by Channing Tatum and Reid Carloin, both making their respective feature directorial debuts.

The film centres around Tatum as an Army Ranger who must escort the dog of his fallen commander to the funeral.

The other stars of the film include Jane Adams, Kevin Nash, Q’orianka Kilcher, Ethan Suplee, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Nicole LaLiberte.

Dog releases nationally on Thursday, March 17.

The special premiere screening at Swan Hill will be held at 10am on Sunday, with doors open one hour prior.

Tickets will be limited to ensure customers and their pet dogs are spread out around the cinema complex.
